For more than 30 years, Liu Suyun has dedicated herself to advancing modern forestry and fruit cultivation techniques at the grassroots level. Liu, a senior engineer, began her frontline work in 1992, focusing on forest conservation, pest monitoring, and fruit cultivation. She has developed practical, easy-to-understand methods, combining theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience. To disseminate this knowledge, she created plain technical guides and instructional videos shared via WeChat.
Her extensive training has benefited over 30,000 people, nurturing more than 200 skilled farmers. Liu has led numerous projects, establishing high-yield demonstration bases that have increased the annual income of over 60,000 households by an average of 3,400 yuan. She has also been instrumental in surveying ancient trees and forest resources since 2009.
