The state faces significant drought-prone land, making water access a critical challenge, particularly in rural areas with a population of approximately 44.5 million.
To further enhance efficiency, Karnataka is linking water budgeting with improved delivery systems. A 24x7 drinking water scheme in 268 villages has shown water savings and reduced electricity consumption. Additionally, 1.5 lakh women have been trained to test water quality, ensuring safe drinking water supply across affected regions.
