Jind Police Suspend 10 Officers in Crackdown on Stubble Burning

As of November 16th, 2025, the Jind district police in India have taken strict measures to address the growing problem of stubble burning. In a decisive move, the Jind Superintendent of Police, Kuldeep Singh, has suspended 10 police personnel, including a sub-inspector, assistant sub-inspector, and constables, for their negligence in duty.

The police spokesperson explained that despite the district police's efforts to visit villages, spread awareness, and urge farmers to refrain from burning stubble, the incidents continued to surface. Stubble burning not only damages the environment but is also a punishable offense, and the Jind police have adopted a zero-tolerance policy on the issue.

The SP has made it clear that any future negligence by police personnel will lead to strict action. Additionally, the police have vowed to take strong legal action without any leniency against individuals involved in stubble burning. The primary priorities of the Jind police are environmental protection, public safety, and maintaining law and order, and they are appealing to the public to cooperate in protecting the environment.
