Despite immediate transfer to a veterinary hospital and intervention by experts from the Wildlife Institute of India, the animals regrettably passed away during treatment. A 'Kud' trapping device, other hunting implements, and two motorcycles were confiscated from the arrested individuals.
The accused, identified as residents of Jaisalmer district, were subsequently produced before a court and remanded to judicial custody. The Forest Department highlighted the critical impact of such wildlife crimes on biodiversity and ecological balance, assuring continued surveillance.
