Indonesia Partners with Vantara for Wildlife Health

Indonesia and Vantara have announced a significant partnership aimed at bolstering wildlife health and in-situ conservation efforts throughout the Southeast Asian nation. This collaboration, formalized with Indonesian wildlife organization PT Fauna Land Group, will focus on enhancing the country's wildlife health infrastructure and field capabilities.

Vantara will provide crucial veterinary expertise, technical support, and capacity-building programs. A notable project under this initiative will be the upgrade of the Way Kambas Elephant Hospital into a comprehensive Elephant Treatment and Care Centre. This advanced facility will support both elephants under human care and wild Sumatran elephants in the surrounding landscape.

The partnership operates under an existing Memorandum of Understanding, prioritizing cooperation in wildlife health, animal welfare, and conservation aligned with Indonesia's national goals. This collaboration also signifies an expansion of Vantara's international conservation initiatives, extending expertise developed in India to support global wildlife health and conservation projects.
