Residents in the impacted communities have voiced significant concerns about the potential risks of the power line expansion. They have formed a group called "No More Power Lines" to fight the project. Locals fear the high-voltage lines could expose them to harmful electromagnetic radiation and pose a wildfire threat, especially in areas near the Gunpowder Falls State Park. The project is currently being debated in court, with a ruling expected by the end of the year.
