Gurugram Launches Citywide Cleanliness Blitz: Officials Demand Spotless Streets by Deadline
30 Oct
Summary
- Divisional commissioner issues directives to improve cleanliness and waste management
- Deadline set for visible improvements in sanitation across Gurugram
- Joint enforcement team to conduct raids on illegal dumping of garbage and debris

On October 28, 2025, Gurugram's divisional commissioner, RC Bidhan, chaired a review meeting on the city's sanitation system at the Mini Secretariat. Bidhan emphasized that maintaining hygiene and cleanliness is a public service mission that requires commitment and accountability at every level.
The commissioner directed officers to ensure timely garbage collection, with trolleys emptied at least twice daily and no location left without collection points. Dedicated sanitation workers must be deployed to prevent littering and raise awareness among citizens. Bidhan set a 3-day deadline for visible improvements, stating that all roads, streets, and vulnerable points must be thoroughly cleaned, with no trace of dirt or waste.
