Guntur Municipal Corporation Commissioner K. Mayur Ashok began a two-day study tour of Indore on June 23, 2025. The objective was to examine Indore's renowned urban governance, sanitation, and solid waste management practices.
During his visit, Commissioner Ashok engaged with Indore Municipal Corporation officials. Discussions covered the Swachh Bharat Mission, waste collection, scientific processing, and resource recovery initiatives. He also observed urban infrastructure development and technology-driven governance.
Inspections included door-to-door waste collection and the Rajshahi Garbage Transfer Station. The Commissioner reviewed operations at the Integrated Solid Waste Management Control Room and the Kesarbagh Bridge Resource Recovery Centre.
Ashok noted that Indore's consistent top cleanliness rankings are attributed to technology, public involvement, and efficient governance. Guntur Municipal Corporation will assess these practices for potential implementation to enhance its urban administration.
