India Leads Global Wildlife Meet in Bengaluru

The International Big Cat Alliance (IBCA), launched in Mysuru, is set to advance global wildlife cooperation with an executive course in Bengaluru from February 8 to 13. This program, funded by India's Ministry of External Affairs, will host approximately 40 senior officials from 23 nations.
The course aims to build capacity in wildlife conservation and will include field visits to Karnataka's Bandipur and Nagarahole Tiger Reserves. Participants will learn about India's successful models in managing diverse wildlife landscapes and human-wildlife conflict.
This event serves as a prelude to the first global IBCA summit planned for 2026 in New Delhi. IBCA is a coalition dedicated to protecting various big cat species worldwide.
Karnataka was selected to host due to its recognized excellence in biodiversity conservation and wildlife management practices. The state's leadership in tiger and elephant conservation, protected area management, and community engagement will be shared.
