The EARAZA Annual Conference 2026, held at Vantara in Jamnagar, has successfully concluded. This significant event gathered wildlife professionals, veterinarians, scientists, and conservation leaders from 30 countries and 29 Indian zoological institutions.
Under the theme "Strengthening Global Partnerships for Wildlife Conservation," the four-day conference emphasized cross-border conservation programs, animal welfare, and wildlife medicine. Vantara announced it would provide its ANTZ Software Platform free to all EARAZA members for one year, a move aligning with the conference's focus on data sharing.
Discussions covered coordinated conservation efforts for species like the Amur tiger and Oriental stork, alongside sessions on urban biodiversity and public engagement. Technological innovations were a key highlight, with Vantara showcasing tools such as the Vespr bioacoustic monitor and an NFC-enabled system for animal-care rounds.
The conference concluded with a gala dinner and the presentation of Lifetime Achievement Awards to six leaders. China will host the 2027 EARAZA conference, taking over the flag.
