Minister Brijesh Singh inaugurated the campaign at Surajpur Wetland, urging public involvement in environmental conservation. He promoted the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" campaign, encouraging citizens to plant trees in honor of their mothers and embrace the state's greening efforts.
The collaborative drive involved multiple authorities like Noida and Greater Noida, alongside various government departments and community participants including students, CRPF personnel, and local residents. Speakers emphasized that successful plantation requires ongoing protection and care for the newly planted trees.
District Magistrate Medha Roopam also appealed for active participation, noting farmers' crucial role. The event concluded with a tree distribution ceremony, offering saplings of fruit-bearing species to volunteers and residents.
