An estimated five tonnes of waste were recovered from the Hide & Seek Festival site in Weston Park, Shropshire, after attendees departed. Volunteers undertook a significant cleanup effort, discovering a vast amount of discarded items.
Among the recovered materials were new, unopened air beds and sleeping bags, alongside tents and untouched food. These useful supplies, along with clothing and shoes, have been rescued by the Telford-based Community Food Project.
These salvaged goods are now being distributed to support individuals experiencing homelessness in the Telford area. Outreach workers are facilitating the delivery of tents, bedding, and other essential items to those in need.
