This certification, with a Water Positivity Index of 1.80, highlights DS Group's significant efforts in water stewardship. The achievement follows a rigorous two-and-a-half-year assessment across its 30 business units nationwide.
DS Group's integrated approach combines operational efficiencies with community CSR. Interventions like rainwater harvesting and wastewater reuse have led to a storage potential of 66 Lakh KL. This strategy not only reduces freshwater dependency but also enhances water security in local communities through conservation projects.
Vice Chairman Rajiv Kumar emphasized water stewardship as a global priority, especially with projected water demand exceeding supply by 40% by 2030. He stated that DS Group's efforts align with global sustainability dialogues like COP30, reinforcing India's sustainability agenda.
Sanjay Seth of GRIHA Council commended DS Group for setting a benchmark in responsible resource management, proving that sustainability and profitability can coexist. The certification underscores the crucial role of corporate environmental leadership in sustainable development.
