As of October 17th, 2025, Delhi's comprehensive winter anti-pollution plan is now fully operational. Authorities have stepped up efforts across various fronts, including dust control, vehicle enforcement, industry monitoring, and waste management, to combat the city's seasonal air pollution crisis.
Dust control measures have been intensified, with 86 mechanized sweepers, 300 water sprinklers, and 362 anti-smog guns deployed citywide. Construction sites above 3,000 square meters are required to use anti-smog guns, and 698 km of roadside paving and 85 km of central verge greening have been completed.
On the vehicular front, 578 teams are checking for PUC certificates, visible smoke, and idling violations. Parking fees have been increased during GRAP Stages III and IV to discourage private vehicle use, and polluting goods vehicles are being monitored at city borders.
