Forecasting agencies predict a further decline in air quality, with the AQI likely to enter the severe category by Sunday and persist through Monday. Subsequent days are also expected to see air quality remain in the severe to very poor range. The minimum temperature has also dropped significantly, recorded at 6.1 degrees Celsius, two degrees below normal, contributing to unfavorable meteorological conditions.
These adverse conditions have already led to considerable disruptions, with over 200 flights delayed by 9 am.
