This marks a decline from previous days, with eight out of forty monitoring stations recording 'severe' air quality, indicated by AQI readings above 400. These stations are located in areas including Anand Vihar, Bawana, and Rohini.
Analysis of pollution sources reveals that vehicular emissions were the most significant contributor on Wednesday, accounting for 19.7 percent of the pollution load. Industrial and residential sources also played a role. Furthermore, neighboring districts in Haryana, such as Jhajjar, contributed substantially to Delhi's air pollution.
The Air Quality Early Warning System anticipates that Delhi's air quality will remain in the 'very poor' category for the upcoming six days. Meanwhile, weather conditions on Wednesday saw a maximum temperature of 22.3 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 7.7 degrees Celsius, with dense fog expected in the coming days.
