The AQI has been in the 'very poor' category for six consecutive days, with readings increasing from 374 on Tuesday to 392 on Wednesday. Several monitoring stations, including those in Chandni Chowk and Anand Vihar, recorded AQI levels above 400, falling into the 'severe' category.
Analysis indicates that vehicular emissions were a primary contributor to Wednesday's pollution, accounting for 18% of the AQI, while stubble burning contributed approximately 3.8%. Weather conditions, including a minimum temperature of 10.2 degrees Celsius, are also contributing factors to the persistent smog.
