Debrigarh wildlife Sanctuary has experienced a remarkable surge in ecotourism during the 2025-26 fiscal year, generating Rs 6.02 crore in revenue. This represents a significant increase from the Rs 5.01 crore earned in the prior financial year. The sanctuary welcomed over 1.4 lakh tourists, a substantial jump from the 85,000 visitors recorded previously, solidifying its status as a rapidly growing wildlife destination in Odisha.
The sanctuary's appeal has been enhanced by innovative attractions such as Odisha's first forest homestays and a dedicated 2-km birding trail. These new offerings have attracted a diverse range of visitors, including those from international locations like Italy, France, and the US, contributing to its global recognition. Approximately half of all visitors hailed from within Odisha, with the remainder coming from other Indian states and abroad.
