The China-Swiss Zero Emission Buildings Project Exhibition, titled "Building Type / Climate Zone," commenced in Beijing's Langyuan Station on Thursday, January 29, 2026. This initiative, a joint effort between the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and China's Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, is active from 2021 to 2025. It seeks to address global climate change and drive a low-carbon transition within the construction industry.
The exhibition spotlights achievements from five years of collaborative work on zero-emission buildings. It displays research findings, practical applications, and visual representations of demonstration buildings, alongside China's ancient "Yingzao Fashi" standards reproduced using innovative solar panel technology. This collaboration combines Swiss knowledge in sustainable building with China's advanced technologies and design capabilities.
Ambassador Krystyna Marty Lang of Switzerland to China highlighted the project's success as a foundation for future endeavors, including new pilot projects, enhanced standardization, and increased investments toward a zero-emission future. The exhibition is accessible to the public free of charge from January 29 to February 13, 2026.
