In a recent meeting, Forest Minister Shibu Baby John mandated that public sector undertakings IRE and KMML in Chavara must conduct their mineral sand mining operations without complaint. KMML is also set to provide financial aid for a protective seawall construction along the coast near Kattil Mekkathil Temple. Furthermore, KMML and the Harbour Engineering department are directed to complete the dredging of Neendakara Harbour immediately. Land allocation for a disaster management radar system was also approved.
