The Deputy Commissioner also emphasized evaluating the operational efficiency and capacity of existing sewage treatment plants and reviewing waste management practices by local bodies.
Furthermore, instructions were given to ensure industries adhere strictly to Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) regulations, prohibiting any discharge of treated or untreated effluent into the river. Small industries were advised to utilize common effluent treatment plants due to operational scale limitations.
