Bridlington Beach Water Quality Improves!

Bridlington South Beach has seen a significant improvement in its water quality, now achieving a "sufficient" rating after three consecutive years of being classified as "poor." This upgrade signifies a positive shift for the beach, allowing for safe swimming after a prolonged period where high levels of bacteria prompted advisories against sea entry.

The recent water sampling conducted by the Environment Agency this summer has resulted in a notable uplift for coastal areas in East Yorkshire. Following these assessments, every beach in the region now holds a "sufficient" rating or better, demonstrating a widespread improvement in bathing water standards.

In contrast, all beaches along the Lincolnshire coast have also been recognized for their excellent water quality, receiving either "excellent" or "good" classifications. This collective improvement across neighboring coastal areas further highlights a positive trend in marine environmental health for the region.
