Billie Eilish Donates $11.5M to Climate Causes, Challenges Billionaires

In October 2025, Grammy-winning artist Billie Eilish announced a major donation to climate causes. As she accepted the Music Innovator Award at the Wall Street Journal Magazine Innovator Awards in New York City, Eilish revealed she would be donating $11.5 million (£10 million) from the proceeds of her recent Hit Me Hard and Soft tour.

The funds will go to The Changemaker Programme, an initiative supporting organizations and projects focused on food equity, climate justice, and reducing carbon pollution. Eilish also used her platform to call out billionaires in the audience, urging them to "give your money away" and help those in need.

The 23-year-old singer has been a consistent advocate for climate action. Earlier this year, she donated $11,000 (£8,400) to the Howard County Conservancy's Youth Climate Institute (YCI) in Maryland, a high school program that combines climate education and activism. The YCI Executive Director praised Eilish's commitment to amplifying youth voices in the fight against the climate crisis.

Eilish's philanthropic efforts are part of her longstanding commitment to environmental causes. She went vegan in 2014 and has used her music and social media to raise awareness about the urgent need to address global warming. With this latest donation, the pop star continues to leverage her platform and resources to drive meaningful change in the fight against climate change.
