Scotland Welcomes Adorable Baby Vicuna!

The Highland Wildlife Park in Scotland has welcomed a new resident, a baby vicuna named Xoco. This adorable cria, a term used for young South American camelids like llamas and alpacas, entered the world on June 18th. Xoco's name is significant, meaning "little sister" or "the youngest child" in Nahuatl, an indigenous language from Mexico. Vicunas themselves are the smallest members of the camel family and are naturally found in the high alpine regions of the Andes Mountains in South America. The birth marks a charming addition to the park's diverse collection of animals.
