To achieve this, the startup employs a range of restoration techniques, from intensive planting operations in accessible areas to a more hands-off natural regeneration approach in remote locations. In the latter case, the company often relies on drones for tasks like seed planting. The company also owns a tree nursery, Bioflora, which has the capacity to grow 2 million seedlings per year.
Crucially, re.green has developed a financial model that allows it to monetize its reforestation efforts, either through sustainable forestry or the sale of carbon credits. This financial viability is key to the company's ability to scale up its operations and have a meaningful impact on Brazil's deforestation crisis.
