- He aims to connect health damage from Agent Orange and mercury.
- The visit highlights global environmental and pollution issues.

Nguyen Duc, a 45-year-old Vietnamese man born conjoined due to Agent Orange exposure, is scheduled to visit areas affected by Minamata disease in Japan. His visits in October to Kagoshima and December to Kumamoto aim to connect with individuals suffering from mercury poisoning.
Duc, who underwent separation surgery in 1988 and has ongoing health issues, shares with Minamata victims the experience of suffering from toxic chemicals. He hopes these meetings will underscore the global nature of pollution-related illnesses.
Minamata disease, officially recognized in 1956, resulted from mercury-tainted water discharged by a chemical plant. Duc's brother, Viet, died in 2007 from complications related to his health struggles.
