MK Ramesh, president of the Medical Assessment and Rating Board, National Medical Commission, delivered a compelling address on Saturday at JSS Medical College's Graduation Day. He urged the graduating doctors to embrace change and adapt to rapid technological advancements as they embark on their professional journeys.
Ramesh highlighted that obtaining a medical degree signifies the commencement of a lifelong commitment to patient care and societal service. He noted that rigorous clinical training prepares new doctors to face real-life challenges with confidence and compassion.
Emphasizing the transformative impact of technology, Ramesh pointed to innovations like AI and telemedicine reshaping healthcare. He advised graduates to utilize technology as a supportive tool while maintaining a core focus on patient well-being and ethical practice.
Degrees were conferred upon 195 MBBS graduates. Dr. Purna Bansal was a standout, receiving seven gold medals and six cash awards, in addition to the Best Outgoing Student award. Other graduates, including Dr. Prakhar Gupta, Dr. Sandra Anna Sam, Dr. Yashika Sharma, Dr. Sneha Manosh Kumar, Dr. Sharanya Bose, and Dr. Dyuksha Arora, also received accolades for their academic achievements.
