Wolverhampton Grand Theatre and City of Wolverhampton College are launching a significant partnership this September to enhance student industry experience. Students enrolled in performing and production arts courses will gain invaluable behind-the-scenes access at the theatre.
These opportunities include masterclasses led by industry professionals and practical shadowing roles within the venue. Additionally, the college has been selected to participate in the National Theatre's schools tour of 'Bacchae,' a contemporary interpretation of a classic tragedy.
Creative Director Tim Colegate expressed enthusiasm, stating the partnership is "incredibly exciting" for nurturing new talent. College Principal Louise Fall highlighted that the collaboration benefits both aspiring creative professionals and the wider college community through increased accessibility to theatre productions and exclusive discounts via the Sixteen25 scheme.
