Visakhapatnam students recently engaged in practical learning experiences designed to enhance their life skills through GVMC's STEP-UP program. Children from Murali Nagar municipal school visited key civic institutions, including the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board (APPCB) and the regional transport office. At these locations, officials educated the students on vital topics such as environmental protection, pollution control, waste management, and road safety regulations.
The educational visits extended to banking institutions, with students exploring services at Bank of Baroda and State Bank of India branches. This exposure aimed to impart knowledge about saving money, account management, and the importance of digital and online banking. GVMC Commissioner Ketan Garg highlighted that these organizational visits significantly contribute to students' understanding of public services and their development into responsible citizens.
