Three students from Bhatkhande Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya (BSV) have demonstrated remarkable resilience, turning personal struggles into academic success. Dipti Singh, an MPA (Bharatanatyam) student, will be honored with three gold medals. Initially facing opposition from her farmer father and societal ridicule for her passion for dance, Dipti drew inspiration from actress Hema Malini to pursue her dreams.
Neha Qazi, pursuing a master's in guitar, is set to receive five gold medals. Her musical journey was kept largely private within her Muslim household, where music and dance were discouraged. She practiced mostly at the university or her sister's home, with only her father and sister aware of her dedication.
Runjhun Singh will receive two silver medals, her path marked by perseverance after her father's death in 2023. Encouraged by him from a young age, she now teaches Bharatanatyam to children to support her education and fulfill both her and her father's aspirations.
