A young student, Kanishka, is demonstrating remarkable resilience by preparing to take her board examinations while receiving treatment in an Intensive Care Unit. Diagnosed with muscular dystrophy, a genetic disorder causing progressive muscle weakness, Kanishka recently developed severe pneumonia.
She was admitted to the hospital and placed on ventilator support on February 3rd, later being transferred to Chaitanya Hospital. Despite her critical condition, she insisted on appearing for her exams, a testament to her unwavering academic determination. Her father shared that she is determined to attempt all papers to the best of her ability, though the family's primary wish is for her speedy recovery.
This is not the first time Kanishka has overcome medical challenges for her education. She was granted extra time during her Class 10 board exams due to her condition, a provision extended for her current examinations. Earlier this year, she achieved a significant milestone by clearing the JEE Main examination, furthering her ambition to pursue engineering.
