Stanley County Schools Wear Orange for "Unity Day" Against Bullying

On October 22, 2025, schools in the Stanley County School District in South Dakota will be observing National Bullying Prevention Month by wearing orange for "Unity Day." School Counselor Nichole Hahn says that wearing orange symbolizes personal opposition to bullying, and she has invited community members to join in as well.
Hahn has included a leaf pattern in the school's business letter that can be used to write positive messages, or community members can simply email their messages to her. The district's Facebook page will be posting photos of people wearing orange, and Hahn encourages everyone to share their own photos using the hashtag #UnityEveryDay.
