She will also host student-focused conversations and workshops, including one dedicated to "The Making of Eldorado Ballroom," a series she previously hosted at the Walt Disney Concert Hall.
Additionally, Solange will participate in USC's forthcoming symposium, discussing the role of women in classical music, with a focus on composer Julia Perry. Solange's residency is part of the school's Dean's Creative Vanguard Program, which aims to foster creative interaction between distinguished artists and Thornton students through masterclasses, workshops, and public discussions.
"For decades now, I've watched the evolution of music and music curation, and I feel like I have something adequate to add to the conversation," Solange told the LA Times. "Being able to help students navigate what that is for them is like a dream job."
