In 2022, Shriti Daksh, then 19, chose the National Defence Academy (NDA) over her BCom studies at Shri Ram College of Commerce. Despite her father's warnings about military life, she pursued her goal with determination.
Daksh completed the rigorous three-year NDA training, achieving top performance status. She is set to join the Army Aviation Corps and was the highest scorer in the BA stream in 2025.
Reflecting on the recent Indian Military Academy (IMA) passing out parade where women cadets participated for the first time, Daksh stated that they equaled male cadets in all aspects of training. She emphasized the strong camaraderie that aided women through the challenges.
Her father, a retired Wing Commander and NDA alumnus, expressed immense pride, recalling his initial reservations. Her elder sister is also an officer in the Indian Air Force.
