A three-day workshop focused on documentary film-making, titled Nazariya 2025, has started at Panjab University. The event was inaugurated by Manmohan Singh, who emphasized the significant role of artistic expression and documentary cinema in shaping public discourse.
This workshop has brought together 29 research scholars from Panjab University and other institutions. Participants will engage in a series of training sessions, discussions, and film screenings, all designed to delve into the fundamental purpose, political dimensions, and practical execution of documentary filmmaking.
Jointly organized by the English, cultural studies, philosophy, and sociology departments, Nazariya 2025 is being conducted by filmmaker Naval Preet Rangi and is scheduled to conclude on December 19th. The workshop promises further interactions with filmmakers, theatre practitioners, and academics.
