Navrachana University (NUV) in Vadodara has launched the Tinkerers' Lab, a 24/7 open-access maker space focused on deep-tech skill development through hands-on learning. This initiative aligns with NUV's studio-based engineering pedagogy, offering students a platform for ideation, design, and prototyping.
The lab, established in collaboration with the USA-based Maker Bhavan Foundation, is outfitted with advanced equipment worth ₹38 lakhs. Key features include a 6-axis collaborative robotic arm from Addverb Technologies, multiple 3D printers, a laser cutter, and a CNC milling machine. This integrated facility aims to strengthen student competencies in prototyping, robotics, automation, and design innovation.
