The updated matrix includes 127,028 renewed MBBS seats and an addition of 13,636 new seats for the upcoming academic session. Government medical colleges will offer 64,121 seats, while private institutions account for 76,543 seats.
Institutions are strictly cautioned by the NMC to admit students only against the exact number of seats approved and notified. Admissions beyond the sanctioned annual intake will be considered a violation of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019, potentially leading to severe penalties.
