In a powerful display of community spirit, North Jersey residents have donated over $50,000 to honor the memory of Kimberly Castelli, a cherished school nurse and mother of four. Castelli passed away on December 10th, after bravely fighting metastatic colon cancer for over a year. Her diagnosis came while she was pregnant with her fourth child, who was born healthy in February.
The substantial sum was raised through a GoFundMe campaign, surpassing its $50,000 goal by December 17th. This fund is earmarked for establishing a scholarship in Castelli's name at the Academy of Our Lady, a private Catholic school. Castelli was known for her deep faith, quiet strength, and a profound belief in the transformative power of Catholic education.
