The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that the NEET UG 2026 re-examination will take place on Sunday, June 21, 2026. This decision follows the cancellation of the May 3, 2026, examination due to significant concerns over the integrity of the process. The cancellation and rescheduling were confirmed by the Government of India.
Serious allegations of irregularities prompted the NTA to refer the matter to central agencies for investigation. Based on their findings, the government concluded that the examination process could not proceed, leading to its cancellation to uphold the credibility of national entrance exams. The government has also directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to conduct a thorough inquiry into the NEET UG 2026 controversy.
Candidates need not worry about fresh registration for the rescheduled NEET UG 2026 exam. All previously submitted application details, candidature status, and examination centers will automatically be carried forward. While existing fees will be refunded, no additional charges will apply. Fresh admit cards will be issued, with further details on their release and other updates to be announced solely through official NTA channels.
