19 Jul
Summary
- NTA warns NEET 2026 candidates against submitting AI-generated OMR sheets.
- Only original OMR sheets are valid for official grievance procedures.
- Submitting fake evidence may lead to legal action against candidates.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a critical advisory for NEET UG 2026 candidates concerning the integrity of OMR sheets submitted during grievance procedures. The agency sternly warns against the use of fake or artificially generated OMR sheets, especially when raising concerns about score discrepancies. Candidates are reminded that only authentic, officially downloaded OMR response sheets are valid for any official complaint.
This advisory follows the NTA's discovery of numerous manipulated OMR sheets during recent verifications. These discrepancies were noted after the NEET UG 2026 results were announced on July 16, 2026, a process during which 11.21 lakh candidates qualified. The agency cautions that submitting fraudulent evidence is a serious offense that may incur legal consequences.
The NTA urges all candidates to adhere strictly to the official grievance process and submit only genuine documentation. This measure aims to maintain fairness and transparency in handling score-related complaints, ensuring that all appeals are based on verifiable facts rather than fabricated submissions.
