Montezuma Elementary, a new charter school under the Indiana Agriculture & Technology School (IATS) umbrella, has appointed Janine Sutton as its school leader. Scheduled to open its doors in August, the tuition-free public charter school will serve students from Pre-K through 6th grade. Its innovative curriculum integrates core academics with practical, hands-on experiences, focusing on agriculture, STEM, and literacy.
Sutton shared her enthusiasm for the new role, highlighting the importance of strong relationships among students, staff, parents, and the community. The school aims to create a supportive environment where students feel both valued and challenged, with a commitment to a 20:1 student-to-teacher ratio.
Additional staff members have been appointed to key administrative roles, and recruitment continues for teaching positions and school bus drivers. More information is available at www.IATSME.com.
