MBBS/BDS Admissions Portal Reopens Briefly

The Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DME) announced a brief reopening of the online application portal for MBBS and BDS admissions for the 2026-27 academic year. This special measure will be available from 10 a.m. on Sunday, July 26, 2026, until 3 p.m. on Monday, July 27, 2026.
The decision was made following student requests, offering a final opportunity for those who missed the initial deadlines to apply or finalize their submissions. The DME emphasized that this is a strictly one-time extension to support students affected by the delayed admission cycle.
The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) for MBBS and BDS courses, originally held on May 3, was canceled due to paper leak allegations. A rescheduled exam on June 21 led to a significant delay in the entire admission process, prompting this extended application window.
Candidates who submitted applications with minor errors should not be concerned, as clerical and typographical mistakes will be addressed during document verification. Editing of already submitted applications will not be permitted to avoid further delays.
