Maharashtra Degrees Go Digital Post-Results

Students in Maharashtra are set to benefit from a new initiative that will deliver their degree certificates digitally shortly after their results are declared. The state government has issued directives to all universities, mandating the immediate upload of verified degree certificates onto the DigiLocker platform once results are finalized.

This streamlined process is designed to eliminate the traditional delays students face between completing their courses and receiving physical degree certificates. Previously, the gap between result announcement and the convocation ceremony often hindered students from meeting deadlines for applications to foreign universities, scholarships, internships, and employment.

State Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil emphasized that students should not lose valuable academic or career prospects due to administrative delays. By leveraging DigiLocker, students will gain access to a secure and readily available digital document, crucial for various academic and professional endeavors.
