Ludhiana Educators Honored for Transforming Schools

Several leading educators in Ludhiana received formal recognition for their impactful contributions to academic infrastructure and social welfare at Punjab Agricultural University on the 77th Republic Day. The district administration honored principals of prominent government institutions for their transformative roles in the local educational sector.
Among the distinguished awardees was Suman Lata, principal of the Government College for Girls, Ludhiana. Her leadership guided the institution to achieve a NAAC 'A' Grade with a CGPA of 3.22, the highest among government colleges in Punjab. The college also established 'Virasat Ghar' to preserve Punjabi heritage.
Kawaljot Kaur, principal of Government Senior Secondary School (GSSS), Ayali Khurd, was celebrated for her dual role as an educator and community leader. She successfully secured CSR funding since 2016 to add 10 classrooms, new sanitation facilities, and water stations. Her active participation in flood-relief operations was also acknowledged.
