Lucknow University Suspends 6 Students After Violent Assault Incident

On October 8, a violent assault incident occurred near gate number one of Lucknow University's second campus. According to university officials, a student was allegedly attacked with sticks and other weapons, resulting in serious injuries. In response, the university has suspended six students who were involved in the incident.
The suspended students include Siddharth Singh, Ishaan Pratap Singh, Ranveer Singh, Ahmad Durani alias Durani Chaudhary, Rajat Kumar, and Rameshwar Tiwari. All of them were pursuing LLB courses at the university. The suspension will remain in effect until the completion of the investigation, and the students have been barred from entering the university premises.
The university has also cancelled the hostel room allotments of the suspended students and withdrawn all their student facilities. The proctor's office has directed the students to appear in person before the proctorial board and submit their written explanations within three working days. Failure to respond within the stipulated time will be considered as non-cooperation, and disciplinary proceedings will be initiated accordingly.

The university has reiterated its zero-tolerance policy toward violence and has urged students to maintain discipline and uphold the values of academic integrity and mutual respect.
