Haryana Teen Dies By Suicide in Kota

An 18-year-old JEE aspirant from Haryana tragically died by suicide on Sunday in Kota, Rajasthan. The student, identified as Satkar Singh from Sirsa district, jumped before a moving train on the Delhi-Mumbai railway line. This incident is the first recorded suicide by a coaching student in Kota this year.
Satkar had been preparing for JEE in Kota for two years while residing in a hostel. While no suicide note was found, the train's loco-pilot reported that the teen intentionally jumped. Following the arrival of his family on Monday, police registered a case under Section 108 of the BNS (Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita) for abetment to suicide.
The deceased's body was handed over to his family after a post-mortem on Monday. Satkar had reportedly completed his preparation course and was scheduled to return home on January 25. In his last known conversation, he mentioned his train was delayed, though this was not the case, and that he was at the station.
