Exam Chaos: Jaipur Center Hit by Power Failure, Copying Alleged
22 Aug
Summary
- A power outage at a Jaipur exam center prevented 49 students from finishing.
- Candidates reported alleged copying and communication during the disruption.
- The National Testing Agency will re-examine affected students on September 1.

A significant power disruption impacted the All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) at Shri Satya Sai PG College in Jaipur on Saturday. The examination, which began at 10 am, was halted for approximately 20 minutes due to power failures, preventing 49 out of 192 candidates from completing their computer-based test. Some students reported that the disruption allowed for alleged instances of copying and communication. The centre observer confirmed a technical problem prevented backup power from being arranged. The National Testing Agency (NTA) later identified Eduquity Career Technologies Private Limited as responsible for the failure. To ensure fairness, the NTA will conduct a re-examination on September 1 at Rajasthan College of Engineering for Women in Jaipur for all candidates affected by the outage. AIAPGET is crucial for admission to postgraduate programs in traditional Indian medicine and homeopathy.
