The Indian Navy has opened registrations for the 2027 batch of Agniveer sailors, covering positions such as Agniveer MR and Agniveer SSR. Prospective candidates are encouraged to visit the official portal, joinindiannavy.gov.in, to submit their applications for these crucial roles.
Educational prerequisites vary by post. Agniveer MR requires a Class 10 pass with at least 50% marks. For Agniveer SSR, a Class 12 pass in Physics and Mathematics, or a three-year diploma with 50% marks is necessary. Agniveer SSR (Medical) applicants need Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, also with a minimum of 50% marks.
The selection journey begins with the Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET), a computer-based exam with 100 questions, each worth one mark. An examination fee of Rs. 550 plus 18% GST applies. This is followed by a physical fitness test and a recruitment medical examination. The INET is tentatively planned for May 2026, with results anticipated in June 2026.
