Gujarat Floods Delay Nursing Admissions

Due to severe rainfall impacting various regions of Gujarat, the Admission Committee for Professional Nursing and Allied Medical Educational Courses (GPNAMEC) has extended the registration and document verification period for the 2026-27 academic year. The original deadline of July 23 was postponed because heavy rains hindered many candidates from reaching designated help centers for verification.

The committee has now set a new deadline, allowing for application submissions and document verification at help centers until August 1, noon. This extension provides crucial relief to students affected by the adverse weather conditions. As of the latest data, a significant number of candidates have already engaged with the process, with 37,721 PINs purchased and 37,267 registrations completed.

Furthermore, 35,651 candidates successfully completed their document verification, including a notable 210 verifications finalized on August 1. The committee has also outlined seat availability, offering 1,165 seats in government institutions and a substantial 56,754 seats in self-financed institutes across a range of nursing and allied medical programs.
