Goa Board Probes Exam Supervisor Over Malpractice

The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has initiated an inquiry after a student reported malpractice during the ongoing Class XII board examinations. The complaint specifically named a deputy conductor and the exam hall supervisor.
Board chairman Bhagirath Shetye confirmed that the two individuals have been removed from their exam duties while the investigation proceeds. A committee formed to address such issues will thoroughly examine the allegations.
The incident occurred at a school in Mapusa during the Class XII mathematics exam. The student complainant stated that the deputy conductor, who is also a mathematics teacher, entered the hall and provided assistance to students, compromising the exam's integrity.
Shetye emphasized the board's seriousness in handling such complaints and highlighted the moral responsibility of those involved in the examination process. The inquiry committee is expected to review all evidence, including CCTV footage where available, before reaching its conclusions.
